depends on what you use your computer for... but in almost EVERY situation the answer is yes... considering how cheap RAM is today, if you computer can feel it (call your computer manufacturer to ask) I would recommend getting at lowest 1GB (1024MB)

512MB of RAM is awfully good and average. 1GB is better. 2GB is Best. Older Computers may enjoy 256MB or even 128MB which is not enough.
That depends on how much you hold at the moment, if your laptop is slow then RAM will spawn a difference, but if your machine is outdated, don't expect miracles.

RAM memory: Does it really cause a difference surrounded by a laptop...?
Does it really engender significant difference having a 1 GB 533 MHZ or a 1 GB 667 MHZ surrounded by a laptop???

RAM for laptops?
I necessitate to add a ton of memory to my laptop. My friend said that if you have a built in memory card reader, (which i do, SD) buy approaching a 8 gb memory card and configure that somehow in xp pro. I enjoy xp home, so does anybody know how do do it in that?

I just this minute purchased a laptop computer which operates next to Windows Vista. Im not used to this operating system as my desktop runs window XP. Could someone out there share me about Vista, and how different it is from XP? Im a short time weary of using it. Thanks within advance!

Vista and Xp are drastically similar.
Vista on the other hand have more security features, which will receive annoying. Depending what vista you got and if you are using the AERO GUI you can construct your desktop more sleek and give it seriously of EYE CANDY.
Some programs you run on XP will not be Vista Compatible and will be a pain to run if you try.
After you use vista for for a time big you will get use to it and see how unproblematic it was and how its kinda lately like XP next to only a few change.

Mine is Dell Laptop, I bought one year hindmost. It is working well, but the problem is near the battery, after charging it completely near 100% and i disconnect the plug, it is being for 45min simply with out power supply, previously it is used to be for more than 2 1/2 hours.
what would be the problem? Is here any problem with freestyle ? or is there any problem near laptop?

Batteries wear out just similar to cell phone batteries. Their expected lifetime is 10-20 months. Your mobile has a year warranty. If your freestyle charges even partially, at hand is nothing wrong beside your notebook or your ac adapter (brick). Although it may be the connector not being crinkly up during your charge cycle. You may want to test the nouns by holding the shaft and flexing the cord and seperately, hold the connector and see if pressure at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o clock angles makes a difference.
Battery Memory is not an issue, modern notebook battery are Lion.
I agree with snake shah that the course you use your computer determines the length of charge!!
Sounds resembling the problem the old Ni-Cad battery had for Camcorders. If you lone repeatedly topped off the charge, sooner or next, the battery developed a memory and one and only read the topped off charge.
What is your freestyle made of? Ni-cad or Lithium?

i'm planning on getting a macbook or pro
and i'm only just wondering if i'll notice a huge difference if i switch from 1gb of push to 2gb.
if so, in what programs will i see a huge difference contained by?

I had doubled the RAM on mine thinking it would serve with the multimedia files I work near. But I haven't noticed any tuning in rite.
May need more RAM when the up to date 64 bit OS X is released.
Thing I would do is put the extra money into a large rugged drive.
Get.the.macbook. I had an opportunity to find one and passed it by :( The difference would probably be loading time and how much space you'd have to store stuff on your computer.

bring back the macbook! its small and more portable than the pro. u cn upgrade ur RAM later and produce it to 2GB. Macbook pro is for hard work and for professionals single.
go for the mac book unless your gonna play games and strapping graphics work then the mac book pro beside 2 gigs go for 2 gigs

When purchasing the laptop just trade name sure u get it next to a Core 2 Duo processor and it has a wireless LAN card. Get some flawless amount of RAM like 1 GB minimum and sort sure to get a 9 cell Lithium-ion freestyle for long battery duration becuz u will be taking it around.
thats about it and u should enjoy a perfect laptop for travelling and connectivity.
