Pc -dos for acer?

I realy entail help im tring to install linux (ubuntu) on my acer aspire 3053 but everytime i boot past its sell-by date of the dish i get pc-dos and the command note |A:| ive treid using the cds letter E: but it does nil the boot disk is in iso format anyone assistance me?

So it boots to DOS in the A drive. What else is on the disk? Once you enjoy the A: prompt, enter a DIR command and see if there is an INSTALL or SETUP or similar command that desires to be entered at the A: prompt.
