RAM for laptops?

I necessitate to add a ton of memory to my laptop. My friend said that if you have a built in memory card reader, (which i do, SD) buy approaching a 8 gb memory card and configure that somehow in xp pro. I enjoy xp home, so does anybody know how do do it in that?



Next, he mentioned you could win a 4 gb DDR2 RAM chip and plug that in. Does anybody know where on earth to get such chips?
