i newly wondered if things i do on my laptop can be traced through netgear on the other computer netgear is connected to.iIt says any files sent will be sent somewhere that isn't on my laptop. anybody know how to revise where received files can be sent?
Answer:
I'm not sure I grasp what you mean.
So your laptop is connected to a wired or wireless netgear router, or switch.
Is it a netgear modem/router you're conversation about??
Is your laptop also connected directly to another computer or connected through the netgear router/switch. Is near a wire going from one computer to the other??
Are you chitchat about files you want to download, email, what features of files??
yes and here is how:
1. If you access some PCs or Servers on the network these electrical device can log your access.
2. There can be a proxy that logs where you jump and what you do on the net (it could be located inside the firewall too).
3. There are packet sniffers able to track endeavours on the network (one infamous is Ethereal)
DUH!
Check your network settings to see which files/folders you're sharing that also own write access. Check network places and find your computer to see adjectives the shared folders.
we'll yes if you connect a sertant wire up to another computer and the telecommunication is connected to your computer at the same time it will allow population to put sometinng on your computer!
what are you up to on your PC
I wouldn't have admit such a thing on-line ; nation will get the wrong model about what you get hold of up to
