My LCD panel go blank on cold start.?

I bought a DELL notebook (inspiron E1505) after a week the LCD panel go blank when I first start the laptop after hours, and I can hear the sounds of Win Vista starting and everything. Then I have to shut it down, by pressing the power button for couple of second, and when I re-start it works. Do you think it's a video card hardware problem? or what? Thanx

Answer:

most credible a video card malfunction
pilfer it back to dell something is definately going on surrounded by there and wants to be replaced.
make sure you hold the resolution in window set right, if you know you have the resolution set right afterwards its time to send it put money on for warranty. install the monitor driver, it tells window the maximum resolution for the screen.
after computer boots up... press F8 to gain into safe mode next select a a lower resolutin, and refresh rate... most of the time i get rig of blank screens.. if that does not resolve, try installing video card drivers again..
