The table lamp on my Dell Laptop computer goes sour at random moments. sometimes when you turn the computer on, it's past its sell-by date. but sometimes, it starts off fine, but sooner or following the light will turn off, sometimes lacking warning. but after sometimes it flickers some first then go off. The computer is still usable when the wishy-washy if off, and everything seem to be working fine except the light.
Any concept why this is happening?
and how i can fix it?
oh, and sometimes if you click adequate it will come on, or if you close the lid and open it wager on off it will come rear on for a short period of time.
Answer:
Try going to http://support.dell.com
Once in attendance, enter your Service Tag # to get to the downloads for your specific model. Look for the drivers for your vid card, and click on it.
On the page that comes up, you will see a contact for 'other versions'. Go there, and download an oldefr driver, and install that, later reboot.
Sounds similar to an issue I was have with my Dell, and that be how I fixed it.
Cheers
You're screen could be ruined. Try contacting Dell on that. Hopefully you still hold a warranty on it...
Also try using some of those keys on your upright. The light up botten or anything haha
Possibly a loose computer display ribbon. Some of the older, conceivably newer laptops also, use a ribbon to connect from the lower part of the computer to the display. It bends near the lid. Constant opening and closing sometimes loosens it. There are service manual that show you how to open up your laptop and fix problems. Dell provides excellent documentation. I don't recommended servicing it yourself if you don't know what you're doing. It may also cancelled your warranty.
