I have to recover my acer 1640 laptop 2 days ago, and presently when I turn the volume up or down the on screen smooth isnt showing. Im not talking just about the little speaker by the clock I have that but I resembling to use the hot keys to turn it up and down but immediately I cant tell if they are working unless I own music playing. Also when I turn the wireless card or bluetooth off or on it doesnt show up showing if it is enabled or disabled. How do I fix this? All the hot key work just not the on peak display.
Answer: you are missing some sorta drivers , you can try to run the driver disk again or got at acer.com -search your model number out and try to download the drivers for your hot key /or keyboard drive.
